About Jamie

A builder focused on practical systems, useful software, and product work that can stand up in the real world.

Background

I’m a software engineer who likes building things that actually get used.

Most of my background is in internal systems, automation, reporting, and tools that had to work in real environments. That experience shaped how I think about software: keep it clear, make it useful, and build it to hold up over time.

Now I’m focused on building public-facing products with that same mindset, starting with personal finance and budgeting.

How I Approach Software

  • I care more about useful software than clever software.
  • I prefer systems that are easy to understand and maintain.
  • I like building things that solve a real problem and keep working over time.

The long-term goal is to keep building software that is useful on day one and still coherent a year later.

Looking Ahead

I’m working toward a small, durable product platform.

The next phase of this site is not just a portfolio. It is the public edge of a growing product ecosystem: projects, tools, and eventually a budgeting app that reflects the same practical engineering standards as the systems work behind it.
